Buying a car should be transparent, fun and easy for everyone. That’s exactly the purpose of auto.nl. Roughly that means you’ll be able to buy your next car from the comfort of your couch. Like it’s a pair of jeans. So, who’d need traditional dealerships still?

Auto.nl shifting gears

Since 2010 auto.nl has known many faces. It transformed from a webshop to private lease provider to orientation platform. In 2017 the decision was made to start over and build a webshop from scratch, focusing on excellent terms, services and online experience.

Solid, metallic & pearl

Auto.nl always has loved the orange and blue. We tweaked the colors a little bit, but remained faithful to the roots of the original brand. The bold and friendly Sailec helped us to give the pages a friendly and transparent feeling, supported by the custom icons Floos provided.

A solid presentation of the cars is of course important to both our users and our team. Besides that we wanted to provide the user with just the right information, so he doesn’t have to dig deeper in detail pages every time.

Focus on experience

Putting the car in the spotlight, showing off her sexy shapes and every tiny detail on the metallic or pearl painting. That was the approach for this variaton of the detail page.

Focus on information

A functional approach with more focus on information about the car and an incremental use of converting elements was the approach we pursued for an alternative detail page.

Final Words We’re proud to have been part of the team working on the core design of auto.nl and super excited to see all those cars rolling of the counter today!

We enjoyed this large project where we had the luxury to work with a talented product team to rebuild auto.nl from the ground up. Together we established the core functionality of the extraordinary webshop and got it fully loaded to turn the automotive branche upside down!
